How do I book an appointment?

You can book an appointment with me via email, the contact form under “contact”, by messaging me directly on Instagram @kateellistattoo, or coming into the studio.

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

You must be at least 18 to get a tattoo. Please bring a form of photo ID with you to your appointment.

How much does a tattoo cost?

This varies depending on the size, design, detail and location on the body. Please fill out a contact form, message me directly on instagram @kateellistattoo or email me at kateellistattoo@hotmail.com and I will get back to you with a quote.

Can I come in for a consultation?

Of course, consultations are free of charge, just fill out a contact form, message me directly on Instagram @kateellistattoo or email me at kateellistattoo@hotmail.com and we can arrange a time.

What should I eat before my tattoo?

It’s important to eat one to two hours before your appointment - a meal full of protein and vegetables is a good choice. Drinking plenty of water and eating throughout your appointment will help your body during the tattoo. We have a shop next door and we are a 4-minute walk from a co-op.

Can I bring a friend or relative with me?

Of course, you can bring someone with you who can sit with you whilst you get your tattoo or sit at the front waiting area.

Can I drink before my appointment?

It’s essential you do not consume alcohol 24 hours before your appointment. Alcohol thins the blood which can have an impact on your tattoo.

How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?

Some tattoos take longer to heal than others. It takes at least 2 - 4 weeks for the skin to heal, but can take up to 12 weeks for the skin to fully regenerate.

Do I need to leave a deposit?

Yes, a 50% deposit is required to book an appointment. Don’t worry, if you need to reschedule, the studio will hold you deposit for another appointment.

Will my tattoo idea be judged?

Absolutely not. I do not discriminate or judge any ideas. Each client is different and I respect all reasons for wanting each individual tattoo. To give you the best tattoo possible, I will help you with a design and help you placement for your tattoo.

How can I pay?

Deposits are paid directly to the studio. This can be done by bank transfer, or by coming down to the studio in person if you would prefer to pay by cash or card. The remaining amount can by paid on the day in cash.

Is there anywhere to park at the studio?

Yes, the surrounding streets are all free parking. We also have a driveway but sometimes this space is taken by someone who has arrived first.

Good question, it’s important to feel confident in your tattoo artist. You can see some of my work on my website homepage, but my Instagram @kateellistattoo has my full tattoo portfolio including both fresh and fully healed tattoos as well as available designs.
